Floodlights & PIRs

1. How can I choose between the vast number of Floodlights available, across an extraordinary price range ?

My preferences are speed of ignition, lower brightness, lower energy, smaller size, weatherproofness, longer life and allows connection to two PIRs.

Any choice suggestions ?

 

2. How can I wire this Floodlight to two PIRs (one inside, one outside my front door) to ensure it lights before I tackle the front steps from either direction.

It is generally not the cost of the floodlights that you should consider, but the switching/control  equipment, look at the GJD or the Voltek, they will both take more than one PIR, as for the brightness that will depend on the size of the bulb you fit, most come these days with 400Watt but if you wanted to you could fit a lower wattage.

 

Both companies are external lighting manufacturers, so the equipment will have IP ratings
