have an IP camera that I would like to alarm via a PIR. The Camera has I/O contacts & the input contacts create an alarm when shorted - the contacts are rated at 1amp @ 28v.

Please suggest a PIR which will work - normally open contacts I assume & preferably battery powered.

You wont find a sensor that is battery powered with clean contacts. The relay would flatten the battery in no time. Usually on IP cameras the alarm input is configurable as N/O or N/C.

I would suggest a 12v sensor such as the Voltek AUtoswitch but this will require a 12v Power supply. How are you powering the camera?
