if you tech guys could answer this question for me it would be good.

i have a customer who wants a small intruder alarm system in his outbuilding, im looking at using the scantronic 9651 en. what the customer does want tho is a chime function on an external detector (so he knows when someone is approaching when he is in the back room) this detector does not want to be on the alarm system when set. can it be programed as not used but still with a chime? or am i going to have to put a smaller panel up to (scanny 9488) just to use the chime function and to keep it seperate from the intruder alarm?
