securitywarehouse
I have installed the gen4 alarm and then have just bought a extra keypad to add on to the system. I had a led keypad which I have know used up stairs, and the new keypad is a LCD which is down stairs. do you have to stick to just led keypads or can you mix led with LCD. when I wired it in it blew the fuse on the board and the battery fuse blew,I replaced the fusees and the transformer got rely warm, also came up with tamper fault lockout on keypad.I then disconnected the led keypad, and left the new LCD keypad connected to the system.the system now has no power to it,but still works on the battery power.have checked the wiring several times through the process but cant explain what's going wrong. would appreciate help on how to solve the problem. Secware_Tech6
you definely have a wiring fault, you may have damaged the main board. you can mix led and lcd keypads on the system
