  1. Pre-Order Enquiry - Decoy Bell Box Do you sell a Decoy Burglar Alarm Bell Box that includes a mains powered light (such as a faint blue flashing strip light) that is always active ... and mimics an actual bell box. If so, please could you let me know the part number etc. If not, I would be very grateful for any suggestions ... such as modifying a standard decoy box? btw. Does 'Sigma' still exist or taken over? I installed a sigma system years ago and have tried to buy similar kit. Many thanks for your help.

  2. We have 4 PIRs on one zone, and it would be impossible to establish which PIR was triggered without latching LEDs. Without latching, we would need a new panel with at least 3 more zones, and to re-wire these PIRs. Surely, the 7th wire on PIRs is for LED latching, even though it has differing labels such as walk test?

  3. his purchase is to replace an Optex Wonderex EX35 PIR. The existing wires may not be long enough to reach the top nor even the middle of the PIR unit, so the terminals need to be at the bottom of the unit. The unit also needs a 7th terminal for alarm latching for the unit LED show whether it was that PIR that triggered the alarm. The PIR is situated in a living room of about 3 by 3.5 metres. Consequently, the PIR need not be very high tech - a suitable alternative will have the terminals at the bottom and a 7th terminal for the LED

  4. I was wondering whether you have a substitute for the FMX-DT-X8?
This item is to replace an existing bottom entry Optrex PIR, and I am worried about the length of the wires that the requirements are (1) bottom cable entry (2) wire joiner preferably at bottom on unit (3) 7 wires, including the LED latch wire (4) medium sized room about 3.5 metres square.
Would have a such a substitute PIR?
  5. Hi

This kind of depends on intended use.
If it's for engineers to install on their laptop and connect directly to panels onsite then it doesn't matter, can be installed on as many machines as you want.

If you are looking to setup a small support team for instance with everybody having remote access to the panels then you need R057 which needs a dongle per machine (including the server). You can install that on as many machines as you have dongles for.

  6. I have a Rokonet Wisdom domestic security system which was installed 2007 and when activated notifies 3 mobile phone numbers. The system was operated on 'Analogue' system but my phone has been switched to VOIP Can you please advise how to update the Wisdom alarm to operate over fibre or VOIP signal I Look forward to hearing from you

  7. Thanks for replying.

System info is Galaxy G2 - 12, V1.44. I've no idea if that is old or not. Was an ADT install and maintained so could be running ADT custom firmware.

I may have found the issue as talking to Honeywell and it sort of clarifies poor information in the Install Information.

For the info / help to others then I set the system up as:

    User 01 : code - LVL3 (supposedly manager level)

    User 02 : code - LVL3 (supposedly manager level)

    Master : code

    Engineer : code

So after the AC Power Fail I entered User 01, Events, Enter, ESC to be told Manager Reset Required. But LVL3 is supposed to be Manager authorised.

Thinking OK this may be wanting another 'Manager / LVL3' instead I did User 02, Events, Enter, ESC to be told Manager Reset Required.

Honeywell advised that LVL3 is supposed to be Manager as well but some Events will require MASTER.

Clearly IMHO having designed kit (military & commercial and written the install, test, service and user manuals) the Honeywell G2 Install manual does not clearly define the differences of Manager vs Master. If the AC fail event required MASTER to clear it should not say Manager on the keypad / console.

  8. Hi. Do you know if there is a known bug in Galaxy G2 20 alarm such that after an AC Fail it can only be reset by Engineer. Mine offers Manager Rest Required but this does not work and I have to use the Engineer login. Checked the forum but could not find any relevant info. Thanks in advance.
