  1. Hello!

I have bought a nice second hand DSC wired panel (PC1864) and is looking for some detectors.

I am among other things considering the https://www.securitywarehouse.co.uk/catalog/rokonet-shocktec-with-magnet-white-p-620.html

As I understand it this unit does not require any external analyzer card or anything and should work as any stand alone wired detector with my DSC right?

I am thinking on using it for the doors on my house - do the main part of the detector in this case need to be mounted on the door itself or will it detect vibrations from break ins even if mounted on the frame?

Do this unit have space internally to mount resistor?

Do you have some installation manual (on the http://www.riscogroup.com/ site you need to be a customer of theirs to download it)?

Regarding PIRs is Optex DT 15m x15m active IR digital anti-masking, grade 3 a good choice (I really want to avoid false alarms and therefore dual tech) or is Honeywell Dual Tec DT8016F5 just as good for a lower price? If I go for the Optex unit what "EOL unit" (if any) would I need with my DSC (or is it also possible to use standard resistors - I already got these)? As for the Honeywell that has "built in resistor" - is the resistor value "standard" so it will work with my panel and not only with those sold by Honeywell?

Finally for glass break does the https://www.securitywarehouse.co.uk/catalog/honeywell-flexguard-1625-glass-break-with-tamper-p-2573.html have internal space for mounting a resistor? Any other product you would sugest as an alternative to this one?

  2. Dear Sir, I am looking for a wireless intrution alarm for a family house. I would like to have features such as, remote control frorm android or ios, GSM, camera display remotely. I live in Sweden and the alarm needs to support the EU standards so that it can be connected to a local security service if the alarm goes off. Would you recommend an Kit?

  3. I am looking at purchasing a home alarm system for my house. My friends here in Sweden recommend the Visonic line.
I am looking at a package to include the following:

PowerMaster-33 G2 or PowerMaster-10 G2, could you please help me with what the pros and cons would be between these two?
    1 x Internal GSM-modul GSM-350V21
    2 x Wireless cameras (NEXT CAM PG2)
    3 x Wireless magnets (MC-302 PG2)
    2 x Wireless smoke detectors (SMD-426 PG2)
Touch-panel + 3 tags either KPA-160 N PG2 or KP-250 PG2, could you please help me with what the pros and cons would be between these two?
    1 x remote control

Might also be interested in one or two outdoor cameras or motion detectors with lights

  4. You sold the above to my installer when I renovated my property in 2012. I have never actually used it but now looking to start using it.
The engineer at the time left me an engineers code which i cannot find nor can I remember the code I used.
Is there anyway I can now get the alarm working? Your advice would be greatly appreciated or any contact at Scantronic.

    Many thanks
ps a contacted another firm told me I would have to buy a new panel through him which I find hard to believe.

  5. Hi,

I am interested in the Visonic PowerMaster 33 but see that the panel itself only comes in a kit. I would like to add some items to the kit (additional chicklets, PIRs and a GSM-350) but also remove some items (door contact and per friendly PIRs). It is possible to modify the contents of the PowerMaster 33 kit so I do not have to purchase items I will not use ?

Also is the SR-740 included in the kit the rectangular or hexagonal one ?

    Thanks,

  6. I would like to purchase a Visonic Powerlink3 for my Powermaster10 system. Can you confirm I can use it to directly access my alarm panel remotely, rather than needing to use a Power Manage system please? I am hoping I will be able to access my panel by using the IP Address of the system.

  7. I have purchased a Castle Euro Mini.
The box only contained a control panel and the main alarm panel..
I would like to purchase 3 PIRs and 2 door sensors plus a battery and a bell box.
There are so many on your website. Please advise the best for my system.
Is it possible to also fit a call sender?

  8. Hi... can you help me locate the correct type of wireless door contact switch for my home alarm system please? The system has a cooper security scantronic 9930 control.

I have a wireless contact on top of a garage door which has failed.. I have changed the battery to no effect. I could send you pictures if it helps locate the correct type.

Would you also be able to help with instructions for replacing the unit. I do have access to the installer mode code

    Many thanks

  9. Hi,

I have installed a Visonic PowerMaster 10 with 2 x external & 1 x internal siren, and also a GSM module for notification/alerts (all purchased from yourselves).

I would like to connect a SMD427 PG2 Smoke & Heat detector. Please could you confirm that it is possible to configure this system so that when Smoke or Heat is detected, the device itself emits sound but NOT the external sirens? And that a call/text also be generated via the GSM module?

(to clarify, it is not desired that the external sirens will sound upon detection of smoke or heat but internal sounds are fine, also desired that remote alerts are generated - hope that makes sense)

    Thanks

  10. Hi,

We have one a 'Gardtec 800' system installed in a premises in Dingle, County Kerry, Ireland.
We need to order a new Keypad for the system, as the display is not functioning correctly. It is a 6 wired keypad.

Could you recommend a keypad, or would it be best to completely replace the control box and keypad panel?

If we could get your advise on the above it would be much appreciated.
