Intruder Alarms

I'm looking to spec up and purchase an alarm system for my house. I need a panel with 20 WIRED inputs, 2 keypads, and an extrenal sounder. I'm looking at the Honeywell galaxy flex system with the KO7 KP and ethernet interface, so we can use the Galaxy app to moniter. Please could you advise which products I will need for this package, and if you will despatch to my address in Greece. Thank in advance.

I'm looking to buy an additional keypad for my current Accenta 8. The current RKP is the 8EP219 which is now obsolete. Does anyone know whether the 8EP416 will work with this. The Smartset will work using PTS but I'd like a Keypad. Looking at the 8EP416 it looks to only be compatible with the G3 and G4, as too does the new LCD keypad. Any help appreciated. Thanks

Hi A friend of mine has bought a shop with a g3 alarm panel. Nobody knows the codes to use the alarm. I have tried various engineer codes but none work. Is there a way round this or is it a new main panel job. Thanks

Risco beams 72 series (7225,7250 and 7275). The data sheet tells me what the tamper output is but not the alarm output ie if it a changeover relay, contact closure in alarm condition etc.

Hi I am interested in purchasing the Scantronic Homelink 55 system for use at my private residence - this will allow me to upgrade my existing system and utilise the alarm cabling with the added ability to install future wireless devices without the need to install any further cables. My query is this - when installing the alarm can all of the programming functionality be achieved by the use of the keypad included in the pack - or does any specialist device or software need to be purchased? I have a customer who is after adding a wireless keypad onto a Texacom Premier 24 (wired) system. I was under the impression that this was not possible without replacing the panel and all accessories (PIRs, Contacts etc) completely. I am not interested in wireless detectors, could you please also advise which smoke detector, door magnet and RF portal card is required? Doesn't have to be Honeywell.

We have recently moved in to a house fitted with a Scantronic 9448 alarm system. We believe we need to replace the PIR detectors to pet tolerant ones (as we have two house cats) and I wanted to check before I go ahead and purchase them that the 430 PIR will be compatible with the existing system?

I have recently changed a Optima compact Gen 4 panel as a favour for someone. The first panel that was bought through Amazon had a fault on it. A second unit has since been fitted and all is working except the new Siren which is a Reson 8. The unit comes with pre-fitted links across TA TAMP and PA. The manual states that these should be in place when powering the unit up. This contradicts some advice on online instruction that says to remove the link to T A when wiring the siren. Please can you confirm wiring details for this system: the control is the Honeywell Galaxy Flex 20 and Honeywell IS215T PIR's are these compatible, how do i connect these as i have only wired alarms that have a separate tamper circuit connections do you have any wiring diagrams showing these PIR's wired singly to each zone ( 1 PIR per Zone)

Hi I have bought a new remote fob for my Scantronic 500r+ alarm system. I have managed to get the system to "learn" the new remote but the new remote will not set my alarm. Can anyone help?

I have installed the gen4 alarm and then have just bought a extra keypad to add on to the system. I had a led keypad which I have know used up stairs,and the new keypad is a LCD which is down stairs. do you have to stick to just led keypads or can you mix led with LCD. when I wired it in it blew the fuse on the board and the battery fuse blew,I replaced the fusees and the transformer got rely warm,also came up with tamper fault lockout on keypad.I then disconnected the led keypad,and left the new LCD keypad connected to the system.the system now has no power to it,but still works on the battery power.have checked the wiring several times through the process but cant ex…
