Intruder Alarms

Just instaled the panel, remote key pad and sounder and pirs. Firstly the instructions didn't match the sounder terminals with the panel but I think I may have sorted it know but the proble I have is as soon as I connect the sounder battery jumper the sounder goes off this happens with the panel wired and powered on fully disconnected from the panel. I have the system up and running if I put itI into alarm I get nothing from the main sounder sound or strobe but the sounder in the remote key pad sounds Please can you help?

I would greatly appreciate if you let me know if the above mentioned receiver can convert my existing hardwired Cisco 601 allarm panel sytem. If so, do I need additional devices to make it fully controllable by mobile.

I'm looking for the ProMax / Visonic Complete system, preferably in a kit, but I can't seem to find it at your site. Is this system something you are selling or do I need to look somewhere else? If you do, can you please point me where to find prices and so on. I'm also wondering about the price on the Visonic PowerMax Pro system. You seem to have very competative pricing on the other stuff your selling, so that's why I'm interested.

could you help me identify location of the "auxiliary power fuse"in control panel. I want to remove it while I replace PIRs.

I'm looking at buying the dualcom complete with 1 year monitoring but I'm just wondering how that works who it's monitored with etc Do you guys do all the applications etc as I'm not a registered installer with them Or do they just liase with me direct? It's just to figure out who the customer would be. Me or the end user. Many thanks

Hi there, I'm looking to install a house alarm for my property and I require a little bit of assistance finding the right piece of kit for me. Ideally I want the system to be wireless. I want one of those Klaxxons which will alert the area if there was a break in. I would need 12 Pirs. 7 Door Sensors. 7 window sensors. I also want the main box ideally to be hidden away, and use a wireless keypads by the doors. (2). Also I'm not so fussed if the alarm bell has to wired up. I have a Menvier TS690id system and am after another keypad and ID chips. The panel will accept the ID plus chips. Do you stock a keypad that will work with this panel and do you still have id biscuits in stock. Also will your proximity tag readers be compatible with the netled/netlcd keypads already fitted as an upgrade and any new keypad you can supply for the system, if not fitted into the keypad.

I have a optima G3 panel which is faulty and am looking to replace. In order to simplify replacement would the circuit board from the G4 fit in place of the existing board? (fixings in both panels look to be the same)

I recently bought 1 x scantronic 768r receiver and 8 x 701reur-50 transmitters which work great with the exception of range failure at a couple of extreme locations on site. will the 794rEUR-00 antenna improve the range or do I need another piece of kit. please advise so I can order the correct parts. many thanks,

Hi Have installed this Powermax plus quick fit , all is working but it comes up with a trouble fault of Tamper open on Zone 30. This Zone is not used and the resistors are crossing the Z29 GND and Z30GND , could you advise how to resolve this? The panel is arming

Hello all, I fitted an alarm system a few years ago and put contact breakers on my windows. To save on wiring I "shared" the different wires within the 6 core cable I used between 2 zones, with a common tamper circuit, on the rear of my property. I have now had sliding sash windows fitted which have made the contacts unsuitable. I was thinking of replacing them with vibration detectors but noticed that some have LED's. I assume this means that they need a power source to operate - the same as the wiring for a PIR detector. Are non-powered vibration detectors available or will I have to rewire with 8 core in order to maintain my zone separation? Thanks for any help…

Hello, I have a Visionic Powermaster 10 alarm system that I want to upgrade to connect to BroadBand. I believe the unit I need is the Powerlink 3? I have a couple of questions ... Is this the right unit for my alarm? Once connected to my home router, am I able to use it right away, for example, through a telephone app, to monitor my alarm system, any ip camera etc? Do I HAVE to subscribe to any third party service or is that just an extra option? Thanks

Hi, I am told with this system, powermax plus, I can get Pir's to hard wire. I want to hard wire 3 Pir's, but see only 2 hard wire zones. What pir's can I use for hard wire please, and are there pet friendly ones ? Which hard wired external alarm can I buy with this ? Are all batteries included with the system please ? Wanting to buy the visonic plus control panel, 5 wireless door contacts, brown colour, 2 wireless pet tolerant pir's, 1 hard wired pir, 1 wired external alarm, 1 dummy alarm box, and 2 key fobs / Can you give me the best options kit wise, and cheapest way of buying these, and total costs please ? The system was installed and commissioned as part of a new build. When we moved into the building End of January 2011 we started to set the alarm. On two occasions the alarm has gone off in the middle of the night. on both occasions the keypad has been totally blank but still powered because you can see the back light. on both occasions the only way to stop the alarm has been to open the control panel and disconnect the battery. The electrician (that always fits rafiki alarms) on powering the system back up found that the system thought the keypad had been tampered with. I just bought an AMDT and I'd like to understand the purpose of the SET wire. What is the Alert/Set mode ? Should it be left unconnected (and be in the standby mode) ? BTW, what is its current drain ? Thanks.

we are looking to fit a wireless alram to a five bed house where we will have 10+ zones, would like a keypad by the main door, so need one where the main control panel can be more like an end station. would also like to be able to control via mobile phone when away. which good quality system would you recomend
