Hi there,

I am currently in the process of renovating a house and I am looking to install a fire detection system that not only meets building regulations for a three-story house but also offers higher protection than the minimum LD3 level.

In the past, I have used a Honeywell Galaxy panel with fire zones, but that was a few years ago, and I am sure there have been advancements since then. I've been considering the C-Tec Hush Pro solution, but I'm concerned about nearing the 16-device limit. Running the cables around the house in a single run seems feasible, especially with the ceilings down and floors up, but I'm wondering if a larger 2-wire panel with a loop per floor might be a more practical option.

Additionally, I'm curious if, like with the Hush solution, this can be achieved using 3-core + earth cables rather than FP cables. Alternatively, would an intruder alarm with fire zones still be a better option for a DIY setup?

I would greatly appreciate any suggestions or recommendations you might have on what I could consider. It would be especially useful to have the option of using outputs for further home automation and remote app monitoring, as I have previously used Selfmon for similar purposes.

Thank you in advance.
