Secware_Tech6 Posted March 6, 2010 Posted March 6, 2010 when you say you have wired to zone 3 do you mean you have connected A & B to zone 3? you will need to program the zone. The only things i can suggest is test the relay on the detector with a meter. Also your panel isnt in EOL configuration is it? How are you testing it? and where are you expecting the sound to come from, ie of the panel is programmed for double pole and correctly set up, disconnecting A or B should result in an alarm at the panel. jock299 Posted March 8, 2010 Author Posted March 8, 2010 all sorted now i programed zone 3 as fire zone but while setting up other things made a mistake and reset panel to default when i got back from work rechecked and ( found my error of my ways ) well my post may help others from this mistake good piece of kit though was thinking of installing a 240 v mains with battery backup but after installing this one will prob install another one in upstairs hallway and link them . can defo recommend installing smoke detectors to alarm panels for 3 reasons 1. cost half as much as main powred systems 2. the one i got is smoke and heat detector best of both worlds 3 . no batteries to change every 12 months Quote
Secware_Tech6 Posted March 8, 2010 Posted March 8, 2010 Id agree with you. Might want to look at the M12 unit as that is programmable for fixed heat/rate of rise heat/smoke and/or any combination so covers most installs. Glad your sorted. James Quote
