mt123789
Hi, I am experiencing odd behaviour with a Visonic Powermaster 10. Due to a planned extended power cut, the panel was unplugged for 24 hours, during which time the battery went flat. The panel was reconnected to the mains when the power returned and it eventually booted back up. Since then it has suffered 3 false alarms from separate PIRs. Should I do a factory reset to try to resolve the issues? If so, is the only option a hardware reset? When I open the back of the panel I can see three pins marked DEF and 3 marked RST. Which pins should I jumper please? Thanks in advance for any assistance. Mark.
Secware_Tech6
we cant discuss defaulting in the open forum. I doubt they are related, are they normal alarm events or tampers, missing etc.
mt123789
Ok. Fair comment regarding defaulting. I've found the option for software reset. In each instance, the PIRs triggered a normal alarm event rather than a tamper. Each alarm was caused by a different PIR. First two were on a warm day, so I'd assumed it was related to weather. The third alarm was from a PIR on the front of the house, which doesn't get sun, and was on a cool day. All alarms happened after the system had been set Away for approximately 30 minutes. No unrelated troubles; missing reports or low batteries are being reported. Mark
Secware_Tech6
I'd soak test the sensors and cover them over to rule out something in the room. Are they still alarming?
