Secware Posted December 16, 2013 Share Posted December 16, 2013 I've a customer with a veritas R8 plus alarm system, which is not working.The keypad / control has the set & tamper lights lit, but none of the indicator lights. They've had a couple of people look at it, & although one company changed the battery which corrected the problem for about 6 weeks.It is now the same the control panel battery is showing 12.7v on the meter .The keypad does not appear to be functioning correctly as when some buttons are pressed they operate 2 buttons at once. I'm thionking of changing the panel, but also wondered if it could be a problem with the battery in the outside alarm box. admin Posted December 16, 2013 Share Posted December 16, 2013 fault finding wise, id remove all wiring and connect the keypad to the panel on a short wire. then if that functions narrow down the fault.
