I am at present using a avermedia DVR card in my computer to monitor an external dome camera with ptz and an internal camera, I can view and operate these cameras remotely over the internet.

 

I would like to upgrade and have been looking at your Secware 4 250GB HD unit that you have for

Yes it can to all those of those points except the pda view.

 

However it is a budget machine, if you want more than basic functionality etc i would look at a higher grade machine.

could you clarify one point ! Does the ptz function have presets that could be activated by a by one of the alarm imputs ?

No not on that unit. The alarm on basic units is purly per camera. On more advanced units you can call presets and have multiple alarms per camera.

OK I would like to make full use of the PTZ cameras, Can you tell me which DVR units (not too expensive) that you have that would have this option
