I have received a reply from Cranford about this and as they have said I wanted to double check with you if this is right or not.

Many thanks for your enquiry and we apologise for the delay in getting back to you but please find below some information that maybe of help.

 

The VTG12V should be wired so that the +ve terminal is fed to either pin 5 or 6 on the VTG, and the negative or ground connected to pin 3 or 4 on the VTG12V. I believe that the positive 12V can be taken from a 12V pin on the right of diagram 3.3 in the PowerMaxPlus manual sent to us. And therefore I
