Re: bell location

Featured Replies

Hi,

I have ordered the Honeywell Accenta Mini G4 contorl panel with LCD remote keypad and is still waiting for the delivery.  But my electrian has asked a question where should the control panel is located. He suggests to put it inside the cupboard next to the MCB board.  However, I am thinking where is the internal bell? If it is inside the control panel, so I won't be able to hear the bell as the control panel is inside a cupboard and the door is shutted. However if the bell of the system is in the LCD keypad, there won't be any problem as it is located next to the entrance light switch.

Qs: Is the internal bell inside the control panel?

Qs: keypad descriptions indicate build in PA, but I think it is only for entry or exit chime, not the internal alarm bell?

Any advise is appreciated.

The last G4 I bought had no internal speaker , so you would need an extension speaker , that way you can have the alarm / chime sounds louder and in the best location. The sounder in the keypad is not very loud , only sufficient for setting / unsetting.Pressing 2 keys on the keypad ( 3 + 9 iifc) activates the panic alarm.
