Hi!

Can anyone give me a reason to why my PowerMax+ have started to set off "Trouble alarms". Almost the same alarms every time. I need guidance in what to look for.

 

When I check the log, it shows:

* System jammed

* Line Failure

* AC failure (only the first time and the power were on all the time)

and then

* RF Restore

 

So far it has happened twice in a month. Both times when the alarm is off (the first time the alarm were set off half a minute after disarming the alarm from HOME setting, the second time about 30 min after disarming AWAY. First time, the alarm were reset while I was checking the log (less than 2 min after the alarm set off), the second time it restored itself after 30 min (which happened almost simultaneous with me pushing a button on the wireless keypad hearing the alarm telling me "Disarmed, NOT ready to arm"). The system are less than 5 months old and no problem besides this.

 

I have no reason to believe that the system are deliberately jammed or that the line is affected in some faulty way.

a jamming signal may be a deliberate jam attempt but is more likly to be interference etc.

it can be disabled but i would try and find the source of it.

 

Look for any nearby wireless devices that may be affecting it.
