markw Posted October 8, 2008 Posted October 8, 2008 Hope someone can give some help or suggestions. After being broken into earlier in the year, I have finally got round to installing the alarm system that was purchased a couple of months ago. Every thing seems to work, that is after a minor wiring fault on the global system tamper, which turned out to be poor connection on vibration sensor (front door). The problem is the external sounder will not function at all, apart from the tamper circuit. There is definitely power from the control panel and the standby battery has 8 volts. I have tried the trouble shooting instructions in the installation manual, which is make temp connection between SAB B and D for the sounder which does not work and also temp connection between SAB S and D for the strobe which also did not work. The system is all texecom, veritas excel with LCD keypad petwise PIRs and vibration sensors. The sounder is an Odyssey 5. Quote
Secware_Tech6 Posted October 13, 2008 Posted October 13, 2008 i would take the sounder down and reconnect on a short temp wire to prove the unit. Let us know how you get on. Support Quote
markw Posted October 13, 2008 Author Posted October 13, 2008 I have already taken the unit down and tried that. Also I have tried various connections of the 3 jumpers on the circuit board. But still no joy. Thanks Markw Quote
