  1. We recently purchased a system which includes 2 x Pyronix Deltabell and a honeywell ADE GEN4 metal system. When reading the Pyronix data sheet it states that the bell trigger to the Deltabell must not be in paralled ( ie from one output ) two outputs must be used. The problem is I dont think the GEN 4 panel has a second bell output terminal, or have i missed it?

As the deltabell is class 3 we have to install a resistor (4k7) from the +ve to the bell trigger ( to give it aprox 2v or above during normal mode ). With one deltabell this works fine.

How should I connect the other deltabell? would a solution be to install a 2K resistor in place of the 4K7 and set both bells to SCB mode?

No there isnt 2 bell outputs on that panel. I would suggest the use of a double pole relay to trigger each bell then the high security resistors can be used too.

  2. Flex 20 v3 + MK8 Keyprox + 2 tags

    Good panel

    Ethernet module

I guess this is for app use?

Expansion module (to be able to turn on lights using a relay or two)

    External siren

Internal siren (which ones are suitable for fire alarm?)

The internal siren will trigger on all events, but cannot be classed as a BS5839 Fire Alarm

    PIR's + smoke detector + heat detector + CO2 detector + Door contacts.

Driveway sensor is for another day.

Also, any specific recommendations for which of the detectors to purchase would be appreciated.

    Id recommend these

Paenl wise id recommend the siemens SPC due to its flexability and programming via the web interface. It also supports x10 (currently will be upgraded to modbus) for home automation and control via the mobile apps.

  3. Do you want to report this information off site?

if so you will need a digi card that supports the sia 3 protocol.

or use a siemens panel that can do this via broadband with smartphone apps etc.

for active reporting you will need a monitoring account.

the hkc van do this via its built in speech and sms unit (Bt)

  4. Hi, I'm about to install a Honneywell Accenta G4 c/w remote keypad

    need some advice on....

Bell box; thinking on getting Ag6 or AG8 or Reson8

PIR; Bosch Blue Line Gen2 pet friendly

Battery; looking at the secware 12v 2.2a/h but instructions say a max of 2.1a, will this be ok ?

Fire Detector; need two of these, what would be best ?

    Thanks

    ag6 will be fine.

detector wise assuming a lot but id go for a siemens g2 pir, or an optex saver.yes the 2.2 will fit
