Intruder Alarms

Hi, I was looking at something like the Scantronic 9651 to replace my faulty C&K Securitech 700L control unit. However I was wondering if there is something I could get that would replace my control unit and use my existing hard-wired PIRs, door contacts etc., but adds 'smart' functions like alerts to smartphone when the alarm goes off, remote unsetting to let a neighbor in etc.? I have installed veritas r8 panel last year , I was wondering if it is possible to somehow have it so it contacts my mobile phone through my internet router when going into alarm mode, I know you can get a communicator , I have used these in the pass, but I do not have a land line anymore, like many people I use mobile phones, hard wired to my router would not be a problem , your help / advice would be appreciated ,

I have an Accenta Mini 8 G3 alarm system. I need a new key pad. The original one 8EP219 I am told is out of date and been replaced with 8EP416. Can I change the keypad to the new one with no problems or is there likely to be compatability issues?

can the master blaster siren be connected straight to230v supply via key switch without 12v relay supply,just need siren with 230v connection.

I have fitted a wired intruder alarm system within my house and wonder if you could confirm I can install a wireless detector in an external building with a wireless receiver next to and connected to the wired system panel. If it is possible could you suggest the equipment I would need. There are spare zones on the wired panel and I would only need one zone on the wireless receiver.

Hello I am having trouble finding a suitable hybrid wired/wireless alarm system. I have owned an alarm system in Australia, but I am having trouble finding a solution which re-creates the features that alarm had. Good afternoon, I consider buying a Visonic Powermaster33 system. My premises are in Germany, and operating a UK system in Germany may cause some headache (or not). Is it possible to connect said system to non-UK alarm response services? I have been told that UK systems are locked to UK response services which would render the whole system useless for people in other countries. I already know that there are some restrictions concerning the interoperability of devices. Please shade light on the topic. Thanks in advance!

I have a Menvier TS690 Security alarm that is now obsolete, Can I use the CQR contact SC513/WH/G3/B with this? The installation manual appears to say 'yes' but the existing contacts that I am replacing are not resistored.

Hi, we are looking for a ?security chain? to attach to an out-board boat engine. Should the chain be tampered with we would like an alarm to sound in the house, not at the boat, maybe 30 metres away. Do you have anything suitable? Thanks

I am looking for a set off wireless beams to guard a driveway, they will be situated 50m away from my gate where the control box is with 240v and a fibre connection running to the house another 300m away I am using control4 and also have a texecom alarm system Elite 66w What’s your best solution,

I can quick arm by pressing the Area button on the way out. I can also quick part arm by pressing eg 1 then Part or 2 then Part. This is all great and makes it very convenient to use. But.... If the system has been set to part arm overnight, someone comes downstairs and unarms it by typing user code. Then we leave the house and press Area to quick arm whole house. The system seems to "remember" that the last arming was part arm, and so even though we press Area for whole arm, it then sets a part arm. Pressing Reset a couple of times before Area seems to do the trick but is a pain when you forget. Maybe there is an option that I can't see in the prog…

Do you stock the additional PIR for the Electronics Line Infinite Wireless Kit, if so at what cost?

I lost the EOL resistor for a viperGLX; that should go from +12v T5 to FTA T8 as viper instructions. Can someone tell me what value the EOL Resistor is required. Instructions seem not want to tell? Thanks Oz

Hi my home has been fitted with a scantronic 9651 system, it has p.i.rs in all down stairs rooms. The front and rear doors have surface mounted contacts. When I set the system and leave via my front door the alarm continues to beep and will not arm once I close the door. This has happened before and I was advised to replace the door contact which i did, this solved the problem until now! The same thing has happened again I have checked the contact and everything seems to be OK with no loose wires. The contact is grade 2 with a small circuit board inside, it also has a small spring tamper mechanism. Can anyone help? regards Steve

Hi i had a scantronic 550r wireless alarm system fitted 18 months ago,great but it has gone off 15 times since then and every time it flashs rf trouble ,today it has been flashing all day .i am now to frighted to set the system , please help
