  4. Sorry, can you explain the meaning of "hr issues on the galaxy"? Such as? So this isn't an issue, right? I have several DT detectors brands and the only ones that I suspect that don't have SSR are C&K Systems DT-400T. My most recent DT detectors (Bosch Blueline Tritech and Risco WhatchOut) have SSR. Also have Out-Smart (Maximum Security) DT detector, and Texecom Exodus 4W Series and Cooper Security M12 smoke detectors, but don't know what kind of relays they have. Thanks.
  5. id be looking at the hr issues on the galaxy first. Its mostl likly to support these You can use common rail 0v on a Galaxy you cant on most panels. Can you post an example of your detectors?
  6. Hi. I have random high resistances in most zones of a Honeywell Galaxy Dimension. I would like to replace my panel with a new one, but I've been told these panels are incompatible with detectors that have solid state relays (and I have several of these). Can anyone confirm this information? Thanks.

  8. I have been looking on your website for some standalone smoke/heat detectors for use in a boiler house. Could you confirm that the relay output is volt free and can be used to connected to remote PLC digital input card (24VDC). Aritech Photoelectric Smoke Detector with c/o relay output Do you do a range that is more suitable for an industrial installation like a boiler house? It has to be standalone and dual heat and smoke and have the facility to repeat the alarm remotely via a relay output?

  11. Hi Recently changed windows from Brown to White So does anyone know if I can buy white outers for the Sensors and Magnets above as the Brown ones will look really "odd" on white windows Many thanks jt
  12. Did find this though Honeywell Galaxy Rs 232 Connection Help - Introduce Yourself - Security Installer Community (thesecurityinstaller.co.uk)
  13. I use an asix based one. Id have to check with honeywell if there is official recommendation but i wouldnt be hopefull, iirc they dont support serial over usb
  14. It just stays stuck at the connecting stage, then times out. Lights on the USB 232 kits flash after hitting connect, i guess form RSS tool requesting hand shake, then stop when it times out. I lowered rate below 9600, still no change. Same panel direct 232 on my older laptop (no USB) works fine. So am looking for a known working USB cable make please. Cheers John
  15. What USB to 232 cables are people using for G2 compatibility? It seems that my dimension USB cable will not play ball with the G2 panel. Works fine for dimension panels and associated 232 cable, just not the G2 panel and cable., Thanks John
  16. the issue here is the actual type of fire. An optical smoke detector can detect smoke and then a relay base will provide your relay for interconnection. However most are 12v you may need to use a power converter to drop to 12v dc from 24
  17. Hello, I'm hoping you can assist with a product enquiry. I'm looking for a device to detect the start of a lithium battery fire. I'm keen for advice on if heat and/or smoke is best for this use case. The power available is 24v DC and I'm hoping the sensor will have either a repay or some sort of output I can connect into a monitoring PLC. many thanks,
  18. Problem will be proving correct ownership etc. Can you contact where you got it from for the previous password?
  19. Hi, I've bought a second-hand Vista Viper HDAL 16, but I don't know the password - does anyone know how to reset please? Many thanks, Stuart.
