securitywarehouse Posted August 20, 2010 Posted August 20, 2010 My keypad has given up the ghost with some butons not working so I cannot disable the alarm with the code. I've taken off the keypad and it has 4 wires connected. It looks very simple to replace so is it simply a case of buying a replacement and installing in the same manner? When I reconnect the power and the alarm starts going, I should be able to enter my code and all is back to normal? Or is it more complicated than that? I've been quoted for a replacment & fitting but it seems such a simple job to do yourself. Do I need to be aware of anything else? Quote
FastCar Posted August 20, 2010 Posted August 20, 2010 Yes its a straight forward job.Just ensure the wires carrying the power (12vDC) don't touch as you could blow a fuse (only connect up when panel is completely dead - battery and mains).Use your code to silence , if that doesnt work try 4321.
