securitywarehouse Posted June 18, 2010 Share Posted June 18, 2010 we would like to fit a wired Alarm system, we have made the following list of items We like the look of the scantronic 9941 box as we would like to put a TSD2 speech dialler on so that we can telephone and check the system remotely. > > We would then like to put a remote keypad in the porch area at the front of the house which we would like to have night set options. We would also like to have a personal attack button and maybe a keyfob to de activate the system. I do not understand the difference between all the PIR\'s suggested so perhaps you can help. It was suggested that the bedroom and landing PIR have a night set function which I assume means that all the others remain active but these are inactive during the night. I am hoping as said above that the control box can be hidden away but maybe you could suggest the location of the speech dialler. thanks for your help. FastCar Posted June 28, 2010 Share Posted June 28, 2010 Hi , the 9941 you mention is actually a keypad that can be used on a number of different Scantronic panels.You also list 12 zones approx. so this rules out the 9651 (most domestic panels have 8 zones as standard ).You should also look at the Texecom Premier range and the Galaxy 2-20.These panels are not really intended as DIY install .A good quad detector (in my opinion) is sufficient in a domestic property.Your list looks like a rough quote..try another company.
