securitywarehouse
I currently have a Texecom R8 house alarm. I need to replace the main circuit board, so I thought I would upgrade to the Excel, use the Existing R8 as a remote keypad in an alternative location and install an new PIR sensor while I was at it. The question is. Is the existing R8 keypad compatible with the Excel board? (as an additional remote keypad) and will the existing PIR sensors operate correctly? Do you use any further problems? Note: The main unit I am considering ordering is; http://www.securitywarehouse.co.uk/catalog/index.php?main_page=product_info&products_id=
FastCar
Yes , the Excel will work with the older led veritas keypads. All your existing wiring and detectors will also be compatible. If your battery hasn't been checked recently it may be worth checking / replacing.
