Keith Posted December 24, 2010 Posted December 24, 2010 Hi. I had Scantronic 9800 system installed 20 years ago. It has given good service but the push buttons have become faulty over the years and we are now on the last four buttons that work reliably. Is there a compatible replacement available for the original 9825 remote keypad? If yes is it simply a case of switching off power, disconnect battery and swop over wires on keypad or does it need an 'expert'? Quote
joshward34 Posted January 2, 2011 Posted January 2, 2011 The Scantronic 9800 isn't made anymore. You could try ebay for a new keypad. The only other option is to replace the keypad and control panel. Scantronic 9651 and texecom premier and good panels. If you understand electrics and are a good DIY'er, it shouldn't be too hard. If not ring round a few NSI approved alarm co's in your area and they would be happy to help you out. www.nsi.org.uk Quote
