  2. Yes, all wiring is fine.
  3. Have you confirmed all the wiring is OK?
  4. The Scantronic Sounder External Wired Backplate, SDR-WEXT-G2, installed a few years ago worked perfectly until about a week ago, when I noticed that the 'comfort LEDs' had stopped working. On further investigation the unt does not sound the siren when an alarm condition is triggered, although the internal Scantronic 9651PD does. On opening the external sounder box its cover tamper switch does not trigger the external siren but again it does trigger the 9651PD. On further investigation, the internal battery of the external sounder is fully charged, therefore I suspect the sounder circuit board is faulty. Are replacement circuit boards available for this unit as I don't want to have to replace the whole external sounder box?
  5. Its a detector, would need to be part of a solution.
  6. Re the cctv do you have a preffered brand? Agree on the toy town stuff most budget equipment is exactly that. Alarm system wise again i dont know your expereience or preffered equipment?

  8. Hi I am a residential customer, looking for a CCTV system, American dynamics I am aware of. I have a commercial background so do not want something that is ‘toys are us’. Initially I want two external cameras, 360 degrees, night & day, zoom as discrete as possible. They need to be hard wired to the recorder, which can then be accessed by wi fi but not wi fi cameras if you catch my drift. Also is the facility available for sound recording? I.e if someone is standing outside a property shouting is it possible to capture real time video and sound recordings that could be used in legal proceedings ? In addition to this I will be wanting an alarm I have used Banham in the past, but not that impressed, again hard wired. Please could you let me know your thoughts ?

  13. Hi, We are a school with a primary, secondary & sixth form buildings, each with their own intruder alarm panel and we are looking for a fob which can be programmed to all 3 panels. I believe our panels are Honeywell Galaxy. Do you sell an alarm fob which can be programmed to multiple panels? I look forward to hearing from you.

  21. Hi, Many thanks. That’s very helpful. Please could you let me know the links/references on your website for the LED kits … and a suitable decoy box to fit them. I presume that batteries for running the LEDs won’t need changing too frequently? Cheers, Simon
  22. No not a mains powered one. There are battery led kits available but the only way to emulate a sounder is to use a real sounder and power it from a powersupply
  23. Pre-Order Enquiry - Decoy Bell Box Do you sell a Decoy Burglar Alarm Bell Box that includes a mains powered light (such as a faint blue flashing strip light) that is always active ... and mimics an actual bell box. If so, please could you let me know the part number etc. If not, I would be very grateful for any suggestions ... such as modifying a standard decoy box? btw. Does 'Sigma' still exist or taken over? I installed a sigma system years ago and have tried to buy similar kit. Many thanks for your help.
  24. It may well be but shock sensors still do latching but i dont know of a pir that supports it anymore. YOu may be able to find some new old stock. Installers dont do that anymore (for some time) as panels are bigger and its best practice to put everything on its own circuit. Walk test is to remotly disable/enable the led not latch
  25. We have 4 PIRs on one zone, and it would be impossible to establish which PIR was triggered without latching LEDs. Without latching, we would need a new panel with at least 3 more zones, and to re-wire these PIRs. Surely, the 7th wire on PIRs is for LED latching, even though it has differing labels such as walk test?
  26. Im not sure that latching PIR's are a thing anymore. DO you actually need the latch function?
