Incompatibility between Premier 24 et 8XE

Yesterday, I tried to plug the 8XE internal zone expander on my Premier 24, but it failed: the flash programming connector is longer than the expander support pillars. So it is not possible to clip the pillars.

 

I can make photos if you need to better understand the issue.

 

Please advise.  Thanks!

 

(I opened ticket # 24795 for that, but the answer was to ask on the support forum).
