I agree with the previous answer, they should be screwed to the window frame but it may be advisable if the windows are new, to contact the supplier in case it affects your guarentee. Also ensure you do not drill into the glazed area or into any locking mechanism.

Regarding brown vibration sensor, Viper make a brown model.

you need to avoid the glass and the area where the glass is in the frame. If you catch the seal of the double glazed unit it will cause condensation between the panes. The only recognised way to fit to a window is with screws. You could use epoxy though.

 

Dont use 'sticky' anything they will fail in time and if the magnet falls away it will cause a false alarm.
