  1. Hi, for the NV-214A-M device, do I need a device at each end of the twisted pair, so that the video feed from a remote camera can be fed into the BNC connector on a Samsung SRD873A ?
  2. We're looking at a comms installation at an isolated site, which will also require an intruder alarm. There will be no landline phone but we anticipate installaing a 4G router which will provide both an Internet connection (WiFi and hardwired) and a phone line. The phone line will be derived from the cellular connection and we envisage using a UPS to keep the equipment going in the event of a power outage. The preference is for something that can alert the owner to an intrusion by dialling a series of phone numbers or by using SMS rather than by using a conventional. communcator and monitoring service. Remote Web maintenance is a requirement. Preference is for a system that is not entirely wireless. I'd be grateful if you could suggest equipment that we should consider to meet the above requirement.
  3. Some questions, I looking for 4 pce of camera and one video recorder how can handle those cameras to record videos and save them, recording in loop so the oldest file will be deleted when the disc is full. The camera should be activated by some movement, it would be fine if the camera have some zoom lens so I can use cameras with good pic up to 20-30m, the resolution of image should be acceptable so you can see the sign of car registration on 20m. Please can you help me to fix some package with all things I need for that, and the system should be used in Sweden. I wounder if it's possible and compatibly to bay and use 4 pce of "Secware Pro Bullet IR 700TVL effio-E Camera with 2.8-12mm MP Len" together with "Secware Pro 960H 4 Channel DVR" and let each camera be activated of an external movement detector. So if I mounting 4 outdoor movement detector for all cameras and if one of the detectors will be activated all camera will start to recording video for a time. I work as electrician so I have no problem to build some system with some relays and so on. Please can you see on this and help me to get some good offer on all devices I need to have for my project.
  4. Hi, I'm looking at purchasing cameras in order to carry out traffic surveys. They will need to have a minimum 7 day battery life and be mountable to lamp columns.?
  5. I currently have a visonic powermaster 33 installed and working nicely. I have the gsm module, which is connected to a central monitoring server thing run by a third party. I'm looking at buying the powerlink 3, will this enable me to connect into the alarm myself so that I don't need to use a central monitoring station? I know that the powerlink 2 allowed you to do this, but not sure about the powerlink3. I have the Powermaster 33 PG2, and I've confirmed that it's got firmware 18. So, before I buy it please can you 100% confirm that if I buy the Powerlink3, I'll be able to connect into it WITHOUT needing to pay for a powermanage server? Ie I'd connect directly to it using a web browser? And also, that I'll be able to view the status, see camera pictures, arm/disarm etc? I want to be able to connect directly to my alarm to set, unset, view cameras, logs etc without having to pay a 3rd party to use their visonic powermanage server, as I have to now.
  6. Hi, I am interested in the Visonic Power master alarm to install in a carehome I look after. I have seen one of these systems before and it seems to work well. I need the system to have two door contacts, the most important feature the home is looking for is the door chime feature so I need this to be quite loud, is it? The alarm feature will be loud enough, they always are, this will only be set at night with no PIR required as there will be movement in the house, so still just the door sensors. I have fitted a challenger model before and the chime function was nowhere near loud enough so I am hoping this is better, it did seem to be on the one I seen. If not, is there an option of another internal sounder? An external flashing sounder is not required.
  7. I have recently purchased a Secware Eco 2 Mega Pixel AHD Bullet Camera with IR from yourself and I'm having trouble getting it to work on my existing system. This camera is a replay any camera as the Ir has failed. I now suspect the camera may not be compatible with my current recorder could you please advise if I'm correct. The recorder is a Hikvision ds-7204hvi-sh
  8. I bought a CQR SC570/WH Surface Contact (SC570/WH/MD/MULTI/G3) from your shop. Installation instructions are a bit unclear : to wire this contact as a single detector, it is written that one link from each row (Tamper and Switch) must be cut. But just before, they wrote that "at least" one link from each row must be cut. And there is a table which lists Texecom (I have a Texecom Premier 24 control panel) in column B. So, now I'm wondering: should I cut only column B links or should I cut all links except column B?
  9. Hi, I'm looking to purchase a wireless cctv package requiring 3 day/night cameras (decent HD quality) and wondered if you could advise me on the type of equipment I would require including cost please?
  10. My current home burglar alarm system 'Accenta G3' (product code 8SP401N) is broken. The transformer has blown in the box due to recent power cut in my area. I currently have a Accenta G3 box and a seperate wired user control panel linked to the box. I have 4 wired sensors in the house 2 for the doors and 2 in rooms. There is an alarm box on the front of the house. We were wondering if we could simply replace the box with the new Accenta G4 system but still keep the old G3 user control panel and the existing sensors set up in the house and alarm box on the outside of the house as is i.e. is it simply case of un-wiring the existing G3 box, removing it from the wall and replacing it with the new G4 box and re-connect existing wires. This would remove the need to completely replace the old system with a completely new system. Is this possible i.e. the Accenta G3 model and new Accenta G4 model are sufficiently similar to allow this? Any help/advice would be greatly appreciated.
  11. Hi-I have recently bought a house with an installed intruder system which appears to have a fault on the panel pub. The system is a sterling unti but with no other distinguishing identifiers system installed in 2007 and the documentation identifies it as compliant with EN50131-1 security grade1. It has 8 programmable zones and 2 programmable outputs. It's connected to 2 LCD keypads( which are identified for use with nllcdkit) I am looking for a replacement pub or a complete replacement control panel Can you recommend a unit and advise a good quality replacement
  12. Which of these DVRs has 16 channel (BNC) for analogue cameras AND at least 4 phono inputs for audio? How soon can you order one for me? And can you sell them without any hard drives?
  13. Hi, I just bought the Honeywell Le Sucre system off you. I would now like to add an external siren for outside of my property, however I can't believe how expensive the SEF8M is at £130 compared to other one's which can be bought for around £30~. Is that literally the only one which will work with my alarm system or do Honeywell/3rd party companies do others?
  14. Good morning, Thank you for your email regarding the cover for my Flash Guard sounder. I am quite happy to purchase a new unit but would like to know if the six core cable that controlled the old unit will be ok for a new one. I have included a photo of the old unit and to which colour went to which connection on the vertical block located on the left of the photo. 1- Yellow (Tamp out) 2- White (Tamp in) 3- 4- Blue (Supply minus) 5- 6- Green (Trigger) 7- Red (Strobe plus) 8- Black (Trobe minus) There was then a Red coming from a battery going to the plus connection on the small terminal block. I hope this will help in recommending the right sounder for my application.
  15. I recently purchased a Honeywell galaxy G2K3WR-01-C and ADE Honeywell 8IR103 PIR. I require some technical support for wiring the Activ8 detector (ADE Honeywell 8IR103 PIR). I have the usual manual which comes with the panel and the detector but it is not that clear. I am simply putting one detector per zone and resistors at the detector end. I which to know where the resistors are actually connected to and where cables are connected to. Would you be able to assist please? Also, can you advise what speech dialler would I need for this system please ?
  16. I would need to know which wireless receiver ( output relay ) you have that is compatible with door contacts from Inovonics - model EE1210W?
  17. 23. I want to place an order. We would like to change our G2-44+ for a GD 48. First i want to ask, can we move the settings from the G2-44 to GD 48 or do we need to set all settings when install? Can we buy a RS232-wiring and do it from a computer or do we need to purchase a sw to do it? Or is it free from honeywell? If not free, can we program all from the MK7?
  24. As the TIR 600 are no longer available please could recommend another camera with the same fittings?
  25. Can you please advice me on what system i shall use? I'm out after an alarm system that has at least 3 zones (1 for intrusion, 1 for fire, 1 for water leakage) for a 2 story house, preferably which own output channels and which is possible to connect to the internet. Maybe for intrusion i should have 3 zones, like inside, perimeter and outside? Sensors i will need are: Burglary (movement - with windows breakage?), fire sensors and water leakage sensors to put in sensitive areas. I have been looking at the honeywell which seems good, but can you please give me some suggestions on good systems?
